Counting my blessings

Chorus of one of my favorite hymns:

Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God hath done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.

Yay! How time flew so fast!  It's my birthday today.  Every year I have this moment of reflecting on what the Lord has done. What ever comes my way, I considered it all blessings from the Lord knowing that in everything He has His good purposes in me.
Two of the best blessings I received from God was my daughter Naomi Mathia and the healing of my mother from a kidney problem. Last year, while pregnant with Naomi Mathia, I struggled emotionally because my mother was so sick. She was confined in the hospital for more than a week and doctors advised her to have dialysis. Her condition seems so hopeless for the family.  But we never gave up. I never gave up.  Family and friends prayed hardly for her. I cried out to the Lord for her life. God heard our prayers.  God is so good! Nanay never tried dialysis instead she tried many herbal medicines. After a few months, one kidney stone (similar to a corn grain size)  passed through her ureter. Since then her health improved. Herbal was a big help but it was God who made her well.  Praise God!
February 7, I gave birth to my youngest daughter Naomi Mathia.  She's a real joy for me and to the whole family.  Every morning, I woke up with a smile because of her. Her smiling face brings delight to my heart. Of course my two boys, Nathan David and Nathanael John, are exceptional. They are my school of motherhood. Every day I have to ask God to guide me how I can teach them to grow in wisdom and to have faith in the Lord. My hubby is my leaning shoulder.  Wives from my neighborhood envy me because of him...hehehe...not because he is handsome but because of the extra care and love he's showing me and to the kids. Love you Luv! Mwah! mwah! Tsup! Tsup!
Praise the Lord also for my health. God freed me from hypertension.  No maintenance medicine now.  My blood pressure is perfect! Praise the Lord!
I'm so blessed also to have friends whose always there for me.  My brothers and sisters in Christ are God's reflections of love and care.
On material blessing, I thank God for my new Alcatel One Touch. This is the first time I asked my husband for a gift.  He never hesitated to give me this one.  It's post paid so no worry for the load everyday :-).
More than material blessings, I count also emotional and spiritual blessings.  God made me strong for the many challenges I have encountered. Everyday He's changing, teaching and molding me to be a kind of person that he wants me to be.  Oh, how I love to be in His presence always. God is my all in all.  So afraid to face a day without coming to Him first.
As I count my many blessings, I want to glorify God in my life.  He's my source of everything.  Another year has passed and
praying for many more years to come.  So many dreams and plans but I know that God's plans for my life is best.  I just depend on Him for everything.

Thank You dear God for the many blessings!!
